Eltham, Victoria has been a popular location for artists since the early 1900s. It was here, in the leafy surrounds of Eltham that Michael and Wendy Wilson decided to purpose build the workshop, gallery and residence. They commissioned local architect Rodger Dalling to design the building. The result is a welcoming, light filled interior.
The Michael Wilson Diamond Jewellers Eltham Gallery was officially opened on November 8th 1985 by well-known sculptor and jeweller Matcham Skipper (1921-2011). Matcham was a close friend and mentor of Michael's, and was a permanent artist in residence at the famous Montsalvat artist colony in Eltham.
The Gallery is about a thirty minute drive from Melbourne CBD along the Eastern Freeway and has onsite parking. Settle into the relaxed and friendly environment in our comfy leather chairs with a nice cup of coffee as you peruse our stunning diamond selection.
