coloured diamonds & sapphires more popular than ever
Our managing director, Aaron Wilson recently returned from overseas with a handpicked collection of rare 3ct green, pink and blue natural coloured sapphires, and various vivid coloured diamonds. Aaron searches the world for rare and unusual gems and these are no exception.
King of Colour - Passionate about rare coloured gems
Aaron recently returned from overseas with a precious parcel of natural coloured sapphires and diamonds.
“This is the first time in three years since before Covid lockdowns that I’ve been able to travel overseas in search of rare gemstones that you can’t get in Australia,” says Aaron.
“It’s almost impossible to find a 3ct green sapphire in Australia.”
rare beauty instead of paris
“Unusual natural coloured sapphires of this size and quality are rarely found in our country,” says Aaron, who travels the world in search of the rarest gems.
“We’re crafting more engagement rings with coloured diamonds and sapphires than ever before,” he says. “And women are seeking something glamorous for their significant birthdays or wedding anniversaries, rather than travelling to Venice, Paris or London or having a big celebration.”

more popular than ever
“Natural coloured sapphires and diamonds are more popular than ever before,” says Aaron. “People come to us for yellow diamonds, green diamonds and the very rare Argyle pink diamonds.”
“Since Covid hit, many of our clients have invested in rare coloured diamonds, like Argyle pink diamonds instead of the overseas holidays that they could not have over the last two years,” says Aaron. “We’re still seeing a strong interest in buying coloured diamonds that are some of the most scarce and desired gems on earth.”
“People are continuing to stay local, not travelling like they used to, and buying something unique, rare and special to celebrate is becoming more common than celebrating with a big party – which still remains a complicated thing with Covid.”
